Add the same information to several PDF pages

October 31, 2026

If a form asks for your name on five pages, typing it five times gets old. Document Forge can copy a mark you have added to another page. It is useful for repeated names, reference numbers and other information that really does belong in more than one place.

The important part is to check each destination. Pages do not always have the same layout, and copying something does not tell the editor where the next blank line is.

Add one mark and get it right

  1. Open your PDF and go to the first page that needs the information.
  2. Choose Add text, click where it belongs and enter the text. For practice, use a made-up reference such as EXAMPLE-104.
  3. Choose Select & move and select that added mark. Adjust its placement, Text size and Ink color before copying it.

The copy controls appear when an added mark is selected. They work with your added text, checkmarks, dates and visible signatures. Clicking an existing PDF form field does not turn its answer into a mark you can duplicate. Fill those fields directly instead.

Choose where the copy goes

Enter the destination page number in Copy to page, then choose Duplicate selected. The editor switches to that page and selects the new copy. Move it onto the correct line. You can use the same page number to make another copy on the current page.

The copy starts near the original position, with a small offset. On a smaller destination page it may be reduced to fit. Neither behavior replaces checking its size and placement. A header on page one might be halfway down page two.

To repeat it on another page, select the mark you want to copy, change Copy to page and choose Duplicate selected again. There is no “apply to every page” button. That gives you a chance to inspect each page instead of scattering the same answer over different questions.

Fix a copy without starting over

Each copy is separate. Moving or editing it does not update the original. Double-click an added text mark to edit its wording. With a mark selected, arrow keys nudge it; Shift plus an arrow makes a larger movement. Use Remove selected for an unwanted copy, or Undo immediately after copying. Redo brings back an undone change.

Copying a date repeats that date; it does not decide which date belongs in the next field. Copy signatures only where your signature is actually required and accepted. Never use a copied signature to imply that someone else signed or approved something.

Review all the destinations

The Pages thumbnails show the original pages, not your edits. Use them to navigate, then inspect the edited page in the main view. Before saving, choose Review & download and follow the changed-page links. Open the downloaded PDF and make sure every copy is legible and on the right line.

If you just want to practice, the editor’s two-page sample gives you a safe place to add a mark and copy it to page two.
