Find the PDF you just downloaded

Finish the save step
Review & download first opens a review of changed form fields and added marks. It is a chance to catch a missed page, not proof that a file is already on your device. Finish the preparation step. When the editor says your completed PDF is ready, the browser should start a download. If it does not, use Save prepared PDF. Watch for a browser prompt that asks where to put the file.
The editor keeps its working state only in the current tab. A ready message is not a cloud backup. Until you see a file in your browser downloads or chosen folder, treat the work as unsaved. Do not clear or refresh the tab while you are still trying to locate the copy.
Search the browser and device
Open your browser’s Downloads list. On many desktop browsers, Ctrl+J opens it; the browser menu is another route. Use Show in folder or its equivalent to see the file in the operating system. On a phone, check the browser download list and the device’s Files or Downloads area. If you picked a location during saving, look there rather than assuming the default Downloads folder.
The original PDF and the completed copy can have similar names. Sort by recent download time, then open the candidate and check a distinctive answer or signature. Do not rely only on the filename. If you save more than once, the browser may add a number to avoid replacing an existing copy. Decide which version you intend to send.
Verify before you close the tab
Open the downloaded file in a PDF viewer and check every edited page. Look for missing text, cut-off dates, unchecked boxes and marks on the wrong page. If the wrong version saved, return to the still-open editor, fix it and prepare another copy. Keep both the untouched original and a clearly named finished copy when the document may need corrections later.
If the tab was already closed or refreshed before a successful download, Document Forge cannot recover its working session from a server. Reopen your original file and repeat the edits. A downloaded flattened copy can be read and shared, but its original form fields will not reappear as editable fields when you reopen that copy.
When a browser blocks repeated automatic downloads, use the visible Save prepared PDF link instead of pressing Review & download again and making several near-identical versions.
